With a desire to establish Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated on the campus of Elon College, twelve young men persevered and chartered the Sigma Delta Chapter under the Beta Epsilon Chapter at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University on September 29, 1991.
